Just after 6:30 pm, I saw a group of 7 and then 15 Common Nighthawks, clearly on the move southward. The date seems a little early. At the same time, there were a half dozen Red Crossbills in a dead tree. They didn't stay long. Orioles and hummingbirds have been very active.
