Many Missouri birders knew David. He created art work for MBS (back when it was the Audubon Society of Missouri), as well had many covers for Bird Watchers Digest magazine.
I was lucky to be able to go birding with David several times, most notably at White River Trace Conservation Area. He really enjoyed the sparrows there.
He will be missed, but what a life!
