Bill was also an Iowa Young Birders Board member when the organization
itself was still young. He frequently attended IAYB field trips as a
volunteer leader and was always happy to share his love of birds and
birding with kids and their families. We stayed in touch for a while after
his move to Oregon. He missed Iowa but greatly enjoyed being near his
grandkids.
He will be missed,
