The moderators at eBird are volunteers, & most have regular jobs as well. They can't always get to everything immediately.
Anyone with any common sense knows that a report like that is probably bogus, and ignores it.

Always use a grain of caution when people post very rare birds to eBird. Sad too that it doesn't get corrected quickly either. There's been a Common Sandpiper post on eBird nearly a week ago, and even reposted twice more and nobody at eBird corrects it. Amazing.
